2024: My Year in Travel Review
I was talking to a friend the other day and said it was hard to believe that I went to Ireland at the beginning of this year. It feels like it was 10 years ago! After our chat, I was inspired to take a look back at my year in travel and thought I’d share it here with you! March – Ireland I kicked off the year with a trip to Ireland with my friend Claudia. We tossed around several ideas for this late winter/early spring trip, initially thinking about a beachy escape, but found cheap flights to Ireland and pulled the trigger, despite it being the off-season! Enkirari Wilderness Camp, Serengeti, Tanzania
With its luxurious safari “tents”, complete with private bathrooms, Enkirari Wilderness Camp (formerly known as Acacia Central Camp) is truly a delightful glamping experience in the heart of the Serengeti! Capybara Cafe, St. Augustine, Florida
Opened in late 2024, St. Augustine’s Capybara Cafe is a fun new experience that lets you get up close and personal with these fascinating creatures! For $49 you can spend 30 minutes feeding, learning about, petting, and snuggling Mocha, Latte and their two yet-to-be-named capybara friends! Occasionally their skunk friend named Flower will also make an appearance! The group sizes are kept small, with a maximum of six people, so the capys don’t get overwhelmed and so you’re sure to get ample time with these cuties! The capybaras (and Flower) spend their days doing meet and greets, then head back to Noah’s Ark Sanctuary to spend their evenings doing capy…
