Is Sedona expensive to visit? As with most destinations a trip to Sedona can be as affordable or as expensive as you choose. When I was doing my Sedona trip planning I found hotels and rental cars to be on the pricier side, but since I planned to do a lot of hiking, my activities were on the more affordable side. See what I spent in 3 days in Sedona and decide for yourself if Sedona is expensive to visit.

Airfare $235.45

  • $453.25 (minus a $217.80 USD flight credit I had, which was from AmEx United travel bank purchases, so cash out of pocket was $235.45)

Hotel $598.36

  • Sky Rock Sedona for two nights $598.36 (I could have used somewhere around 115k Marriot points to book the hotel, but it’s not a great value redemption.)

Car Rental $238.21

Activities $209.32

  • 2-hour Broken Arrow Pink Jeep Tour $162.29
  • Red Rock 7-day parking pass $15 (You can buy daily passes for $5/day if you’re not hiking daily on your trip)
  • Aura photo and reading $32.03

Food $227.17

  • Includes Cowboy Club, Mariposa, Sedonuts, Open Range Tavern, The Chai Spot, Wildflower Bread Company

Other $142.36

  • Gas $35.19
  • Parking at Hotel $50
  • Parking at Home $57.17

Shopping $134.97

  • This includes a gift for my pet sitter, a shirt for me, a few stickers, and a pair of crystal earrings.

Grand Total $1785.84
