Grand Universe La Residenza
Located inside the walls near the train station, Grand Universe La Residenza is an annex of the main Grand Universe property. It offers just 10 suites and residences, ranging from Junior Suites to two-bedroom apartments. Guests have access to the restaurants, bar, and fitness center of the larger hotel, and like its counterpart, it’s also pet-friendly.
Hotel San Martino & Dependance Lucca
Hotel San Martino & Dependance Lucca are two sister properties offering nearly 30 rooms in total. Guests share a bar (where breakfast is served) and meeting space at Hotel San Martino. While parking is available nearby, the lack of lifts may make these properties less ideal for travelers with mobility needs.
Il Pozzo di Santa Zita
Il Pozzo di Santa Zita is a five-room boutique hotel in a renovated 16th-century palace. Each spacious, color-themed room has a private bathroom, though the property does not have a lift and requires climbing steep stairs—something to keep in mind for accessibility. For those who can manage, it’s a wonderfully authentic Lucca stay.
Palazzo Dipinto
With only 19 rooms, Palazzo Dipinto is a 4-star boutique hotel overlooking Piazza Dipinto. The historic building was renovated in 2017, blending modern design with Lucca’s old-world charm. There’s no fitness center, but the hotel does offer a bar and a small meeting space. It’s not pet-friendly, but its location and style make it a standout choice.

With just five rooms, Residenza FillAnfi occupies a refurbished 1936 apartment. Rooms are spacious, quiet, and pet-friendly, with ensuite bathrooms and air conditioning. While there’s no restaurant or bar, the shared kitchen is handy for preparing a coffee or a light meal.
A Palazzo Busdraghi
A Palazzo Busdraghi is a historic residence turned small hotel on Via Fillungo. With just 8 rooms, it’s intimate and atmospheric. Their Small French Single (from around €68 per night) is a budget-friendly option for solo travelers, while larger rooms feature extras like jacuzzi tubs and workspaces. Breakfast is included, and services such as parking, airport transfers, and room service are available for an additional fee.
Relais Inn Lucca
Relais Inn Lucca offers 10 rooms and suites, some accessible by lift. Paid parking is available nearby, making it a convenient option if you’re arriving with a car. All rooms come with private bathrooms and air conditioning, and breakfast is included.
Residenza Centro Storico
In the heart of Lucca, steps from Piazza San Michele, Residenza Centro Storico offers six ensuite rooms in a renovated 16th-century building. Guests can use the shared kitchen, and pets are welcome, making this a great central option.
