What happens in Las Vegas, gets immortalized on the internet! Find out what it’s like to get a $10 tattoo from the iconic Las Vegas Tattoo shop: Koolsville Tattoo Las Vegas. It was definitely an interesting experience and iconic to get a tattoo in Las Vegas!

We rolled up to the Koolsville Tattoo shop in the Las Vegas Arts District around 7:30 on a Wednesday night after a fabulous dinner at Esther’s Kitchen. We entered the bright pink Las Vegas tattoo shop and after a quick conversation with the woman at the desk, we signed our waivers, paid our fees, picked our tattoo designs, and waited for our tattoo artist.

As far as the $10 tattoos, there were about thirty vibrant and striking designs to choose from, ranging from classic Las Vegas dice to ghosts, mountains, and hearts. The tattoo styles were all quite simple flash and quick to do for their skilled tattoo artists and I love that they had tattoo designs that didn’t scream Las Vegas.

It was a nice atmosphere, fairly sedate for Las Vegas, and there were a fair number of people there, especially for a Wednesday night! However, many of them were moral support friends and not people getting tattoos, so we only ended up waiting about an hour until we saw our tattoo artist, which was what we’d been told to expect. It was fun to see people there who were getting their first tattoo!

Tattoo Artist

One of the things that I loved was that if you came with a group and you were all getting tattoos, the tattoo artist called you all to their chair as a group. It was a nice atmosphere to be able to chat and have friends take photos while getting the work done. Each of our tattoos took around 5 minutes (the $10 designs you can choose from are small and relatively simple). My friends and I chose tattoos that weren’t Las Vegas themed and we were all happy with our designs and the quality of the work.

There are four stations and there is no privacy screen or anything like that, so you may have an audience beyond just the people you come with. We were given aftercare kits and sent on our way! All in all, it was a great experience and my tattoo healed nicely in about a week after we got home from Las Vegas.

It was the most interesting experience I’ve had getting a tattoo and I think Koolsville Tattoo would be a great place to get your first tattoo!
