<p>On my recent trip to <a href="https://tripadvisor.tp.st/QvBkGJf6">Hutchinson Island, Florida</a>, I shot a roll of <a href="https://amzn.to/43NvzCk">Amber D400 Color Negative film</a> and the warm, moody vibes fit the nostalgic beach look so well.</p>



<p>I started my photography a long, long, longlonglonglong time ago on film cameras. I spent my high school and college years shooting with a <a href="https://amzn.to/3Nibb6H">Pentax K-1000 camera</a> and developing <a href="https://amzn.to/3mYmK7Y">TMAX film</a> in the darkroom.</p>

<p>Recently I got the itch and scoured eBay and picked up a used K-1000. After knocking out a few test rolls to make sure it was in working order, I got crazy and ordered some unique film stocks. Film stocks are the old-school equivalent of Instagram filters as they add certain aesthetic qualities to photos. And since you can&#8217;t see the photo immediately after you&#8217;ve taken it, it&#8217;s a waiting game of fun surprises to get your photos developed and see what you&#8217;ve ended up with.</p>
